Finger nail is falling off, what to do?

I smashed my finger about a month ago and now the nail is falling off. It is completely lifted off the nail bed but still attached at the back of the nail. Will this fall off on it's own, or do I need to pull it off myself?Finger nail is falling off, what to do?

Ouch. It will fall off on its own. You can encourage it a little, but don't be too rough.
either way its a goner this happened to me like last year, don't worry it grows back first
