If you have a broken thumb with a broken thumb nail and you are looking for treatment on your own, there are splints available at most retail or drug stores, they are not too expensive. As far as the broken thumb nail, depending on the extent, I would suggest to keep it clean and if it is large enough you may consider an antibiotic cream/ointment with a bandaide. If you are truly concerned have your doctor check it out. It will probably bruise, but the nail will grow back. How do I repair a broken finger/thumb nail? Any products on the market for this?
Broken finger will heal in own time. Thumb nail and all your nails will benefit from Dr Le Winn Revitanail.
I have spent so much money on trying to have the nails my sister just grows and now I have them
Rivitanail for the cuticles is excellent also.
Sounds like an ad, it works but?????How do I repair a broken finger/thumb nail? Any products on the market for this?
If the skin isn't broken, only the nail, use a bit of ';Super Glue';, the cyano-acrylate stuff. Just a tiny drop on the closed break, and a few seconds holding, and you're free.
If theres damage to the cuticle of the nail, then theres nothing you can do - it will just fall off eventually. It may take a while, but it will fall off on its own. Just keep it trimmed to prevent it from catching on something. Also, once the nail falls off, it ideally takes one full yr to grow back.
no
You can clip it down and wait for it to grow back, or you can go to a nail shop and have them put a light coat of acrylic, or even a layer of silk wrap and nail glue to protect the nail until it grows out. If done properly you shouldn't even notice much of a difference.
If this is your major problem enough to prompt you to ask this trivial question, can I assume you are about 10 years old?
