Any suggestions? its a military house so if i cant get it up i have to replace the carpet, expensive!! Its too short and the stain goes too deep to cut it out as well...Thanks for the help! What is the BEST way to get finger nail polish out of carpet?
First off - the longer it stays on the carpet the tougher it will be to get out. Also you may be damaging the carpet fibers or making the stain tougher to remove with all the products you are trying.
It is pretty difficult to remove - even for professionals with products made to remove nail polish.
I'd be willing to bet you will not be able to remove it safely and successfully without the assistance of a professional.
I'd find someone who uses Pros Choice cleaning products. Their pro-solve gel and power gel usually will get the job done
Carpet is sensitive and can be damaged easily by many consumer products including oxiclean and resolve. What is the BEST way to get finger nail polish out of carpet?
Depending on the color of carpet, I would try the nail polish remover on a q-tip applying in very small areas to blot out the polish. You may have some luck in redying the spot to match the rest of the carpet well enough to satisfy your landlord. Or perhaps the Army would consider allowing you to dye the carpet in that room red! :)
You could try a product called ';Folex'; - white bottle with green printing. It takes a lot of different stains out of carpets, and is easy to use. I use it for everything in my house, and hasn't failed me yet.
