How do you care for a nail bed that the whole finger nail has been ripped ot of?

Have you seen the doctor about the fact your finger nail has ripped off? Soak it in warm salty water and keep it covered with a bandage. If there is any sign of infection (red, swollen, warm to touch, pus) see your doctor asap for antibiotics.





Edit: The nail might not grow back, it depends what caused the nail to be ripped off in the first place. You may have damaged the nail bed and matrix, in this case it will probably not grow back.How do you care for a nail bed that the whole finger nail has been ripped ot of?

Keep it clean,





use peroxide, one time daily, wipe with a gauze NOT cotton balls


wear some of those Crocs as they are comfortable, and semi protective, and easy to slip on and off





cover the toe in gauze until healed,





Every evening at home allow air to get at it,





eventually the nail will grow back
