i did the same when i was 15 too! the stitches came out after a week or two and then i had it bandaged for about 6 weeks. it felt sore for some time tho. Hope it all goes ok

My 15 year old son suffered an open fracture to the top of his finger, and lost the nail. He had surgery, which include removing the rest of the nail, and splinting the finger.
